Hi Cheryl and Art...I'm sorry....I haven't seen your dad in many years but have so many fond memories of so many great times that we have shared when we were younger. Especially the trips to the lake and camping!! All of us stuffed in that little camper and we thought that was the greatest! and it was!! We even rode out a couple pretty good storms in there! I didn't realize that your Mom and Dad were married in Cottonwood Falls! When we were still in school, I wouldn't have even known where that is..........but now that I live here in Herington, I've been there many times. The old courthouse is really cool and lots of restoration has been done to it. My thoughts and prayers are with you! Cindy

Dear Art Jr, Betty, Cheryl, Jack, and the entire family, I was deeply saddened by your loss. I have recently experienced the loss of my brother, and my dad passed on a few years ago so I understand at least a little the loss that you must be fealing. Art was a good friend and such a joy to work around at Dillons those many years ago. The special connection that my brother , Steve, had with your dad due to his having worked for Art in the Produce department probably also added to that bond. Art was the first non family boss that Steve had and his patience and encouragement then and over the years to Steve helped motivate & inspire Steve to join the Army and eventually become a Major in the Army Reserve.. I think Art may have also hoped to add Steve to your family at one time when he introduced Steve to a ?? Cousin of yours that was in town visiting . lol I hope that you can find some solace in knowing that Art is now at peace and is enjoying his rebirth with God & Jesus in Heaven and enjoying his rejoining with Elise there , too. He will also continue to live on here on earth in the fond and many memories of those that knew him and loved him. May God be with you during this time of sorrow and loss ! If you have any need to talk with someone outside of the family during your grief or at any time please feel free to call me at ANY TIME ! Sincerely yours, Randall Holm
