My wife Darlene and I visited Berna Deane there on Sherman St. in Salina, KS and she let us sleep in her comfy bed while she slept in a bed in the basement. Berna Deana was a generous and loving person. She will be dearly missed by friends, relatives, students, and all who knew her. She a good musician too, playing in her mother's band. One New Years Eve Darlene and I attended a dance at the Eagle's Hall in Salina, KS where Aunt Norma's band played the music. Norma playing the piano, playing by ear not reading the music. Berna Deane announced the next number is for Darlene and Frank Skiles from Alameda, CA and they played "Oklahoma Hills." Rest in Peace Berna Deane, Frank Loyd Skiles Sr. (cousin Darlene McClure Skiles' husband of 65 years) Alameda, CA
