Earl Leon Cassel

Earl Leon Cassel, 68, of Salina, passed away Sunday, November 27th, at Salina Regional Health Center, Kansas.

Earl was born in Salina, on March 23, 1943, a son of the late Bessie J. (Pierce) Luck and William McKinley Cassel.

On Oct. 9, 1989, Earl married Sharon (Jacobs) Cassel in Salina.

Survivors include wife: Sharon Cassel of the home, sons: Harold Cassel of Salina, Charles Cassel of Colorado, daughter: Melinda Hoover and husband Sean of Salina; a step daughter, Gidget Russo and husband Shane of Gypsum, Kansas; two step-sons: Charles Yost and wife Heather Yost of Indiana; Thomas Yost and wife Penelope of Salina;  two sisters: Dianna Golden of Minneapolis, Kansas and Rachel Bell-Hudson of Minneapolis, Kansas, numerous Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter: Julie Mangum, sisters: Noralene Blackwood and Martha Kidd.

Friends are invited to call Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 9 am - 8 pm at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home & Crematory with family present from  5 pm - 7 pm.

Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 30th,  with Pastor Kevin Hazelton officiating. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm,  Beverly Cemetery in Beverly, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church 843 Lewis Salina, Kansas or to the Donor's choice.
