Josephine Irene "Jo" Thielen, 82, of Salina, passed away Friday, November 12th, 2010 at her home.
She was born in Salina on March 8, 1928, the daughter of the late John H. and Seraphine (Borst) Budke.
On July 16, 1953 Jo married Bernie Thielen in Salina. Mrs. Thielen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband Bernie of the home; daughters, Janis (Art) Jeffers of Falls Church, Virginia, Cheryl Lady of Kansas City, Missouri, and Eileen (Ed) Rathburn of Raymore, Missouri; grandsons, Brandt Jeffers, Brian Lady, and Evan Rathburn; granddaughters, Kelsey Jeffers and Kristen Lady; brother, John H. Budke; and sisters, Anna Platt and Rita Martin.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Bernard Budke; sisters: Gertrude Martin and Margaret Budke.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 16th, with Fr. Kerry Ninemire officiating.
Visitation will be Monday 12 pm to 8 pm. at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m.
Burial will follow the mass at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
