Nevaeh Elise Menzie went home to the lord on July 24th, 2011 at Coral Springs Hospital in Coral Springs, Florida at the young age of 7.  Nevaeh was granted her angel wings May 7, 2004 at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Nevaeh's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by her, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time of which you live it. Her gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her and her charm and genuine personality would leave you captivated. 

Nevaeh is survived by her mother, Ashley Garrett of Salina, KS and her father Darren Menzie of Sunrise, FL;  grandparents, Luella Garrett of Salina, KS, Jennifer Francis of Sunrise. FL, and David McCoy of West Columbia, SC; great grandparents, Sydney and Phyliss Menzie of Sunrise FL.

She was preceded in death by great grandparents: Willie and Margree Garrett.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends.   A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

    I am very saddened to hear of Nevaehs passing. She touched my heart and my life in a very special way and I will remember her with great fondness. I consider myself lucky to have been her teacher. Her gentle spirit taught me so much and I am a better person for having experienced her gentle sweetness.
