Location:Houston, TxI've known Pam for over a decade and am aware of the pain she bore. Pam was very artistic and had a piece of here work displayed at the Houston Quilting Show. I was pleased to have been able to send a photo of it to her on display. Pam also enjoyed music, especially Jethro Tull, and was always
delighted to talk about the band with anyone. We shared many conversations. Last year, Pam and I attended a very special concert in Phoenix. It was the 40th anniversary show of a very special Jethro Tull album. As far as I know it was also the last performance that the album was played in its entirety and we were seated in the first row which is very fitting and special. Rest in peace friend.

Location:NYCMy sincere sympathy for your loss. I knew Pam slightly via computer and our shared love of music. I so admired her artistic ability, which despite her physical pain, never dwindled. May she rest in love and peace.

Location:Crookston, MN USAI did not know Pamela well. She is one of the daughters of my first cousin, Barbara Orendorff, the daughter of my father Royal Gray's oldest sister.
I first saw Pamela in a family van in Boulder Colorado where her father was studying. I was pretty young. I saw Pam with Barbara in Salina several years ago. It was a fun family meeting.
Pamela helped my son get family documents from the studio building our grandfather ran in St. John Kansas, and about six years ago she sent me letters from my grandfather to my father. What a sweet thing that was. How helpful.
Love you, cousin.

Location:Sedona AZPamela and I were good friends in college, at Cal State, San Bernardino, CA (mid-seventies), where we both lived in the dorms. Pamela was a good singer, and I play keyboards and sing, so we often played and sang together at one of the pianos in the dorms. We remained in touch throughout the years, by mail, and later, email (I have been living in Arizona since 1990). It was while we were in college, when I noticed what a dedicated fan of Elton John she was, and I suggested she check out another band- Jethro Tull. We saw Tull together at the Aladdin Casino in Vegas- that was Pam's first Jethro Tull show. Of course, that started a lifetime passion she had for the band, and she ended up seeing them countless times after that, including in Europe.
The last time I saw Pam in person was during the 1999-2000, 30th anniversary tour of Jethro Tull, which another friend of mine, Vyktoria Pratt Keating (Sedona), was the opening act for. Pam and I saw the San Diego, Los Angeles (Greek Theater) and Hollywood (House of Blues) shows together, and we had dinner at the House of Blues with Vyktoria and Andy Giddings, the keyboard player for Jethro Tull. Pam was still working in San Bernardino as a travel agent at that time. Of course, she later moved back to Kansas, and we remained in touch.
I considered Pamela to be an accomplished and original artist, as her work clearly reflects. And she had a great sense of humor- often very dry and sarcastic. We loved to make each other laugh.
I will miss you very much. Goodnight, Pammy- I'll see you again someday! xoxoxo

Location:San Diego, CAI am so sorry to hear of Pamela's death. Our days in the dorms and the Art Department at Cal State San Bernardino overlapped, and we met as I was beginning college and she was finishing up.
When I first saw Pam, she looked like a film star from the 1930s, with her platinum blonde hair set off by a striking black dress. She was very creative, and how she dressed, decorated her room, created art, and observed others were all natural extensions of that gift. She was especially talented at textile and fiber art. Even when she tried new techniques or especially ambitious projects, she had amazing ease and control with any medium, and produced beautiful, original results.
It is a comfort to remember Pam's reports from last September, when she went to England (for Jethro Tull, of course). I am probably, like so many of you, still in shock over her passing, and my heart goes out to those of you who knew and loved her best.
Good bye, Pam! Thank you for sharing your art, your interests, and your humor. Your friends from Cal State will never forget you.
Love,
jana
