Ms. North had a profound impact on my life during high school and throughout. She taught me so much more than English, grammar, and literature. She taught me about patience, acceptance and pursing life. I have always held a place in my heart for her and when I'd return back to the school I made a point to visit. Since her retirement and me living so far away, the communication was lost, but not the appreciation and love for what she had given me. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know she loved Aaron and Sarah so much and always talked about them. I just know she's celebrating in heaven and is now capable of caring for all of those she loved. Peace, Tara Elbl-Lafferty

I met Peggy when we were students at Colby Community College where we became very good friends. We both went on to Fort Hays & remained in close contact while students there. I believe Peggy did her student teaching in Oakley & stayed with my parents during that time. After college, we kept in touch by mail, especially at holidays. I attended her wedding & had a chance to visit with her that day. She was so in love & so happy. As the years went by, we kept in touch less, but when Marvin died, I went to his funeral & shortly after that, I spent a weekend with Peggy, Aaron, & Sarah. My sincere condolences to all of Peggy's family. Linda Losey Manning

May God give all of you peace and comfort at this time. God will guide you in the days ahead. Peggy and I grew up together and had lots of fun. She is my stepcousin and we became very good friends. Her mother and my uncle were married when she was young. Peggy was a wonderful person and will be gratefully missed. Love to all you.

Mrs. North was my favorite teacher at Salina South High School. She was my English teacher during my freshman year in 2001. I always found everything she said quite interesting, and she always held my attention in a subject that I hated in the past. I will miss Mrs. North, she touched many lives along her journey, including mine.
