Rodney Paul Grabner
Rodney Paul Grabner, 62, of Salina passed away Sunday, September
18th, 2011 in Ft. Meyers, Flordia.
Rodney was born in Wichita, Kansas on August 24, 1949, the son
of the late Francis and Hazel (Snyder) Grabner.
Rodney was in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.
He was a 20 year member of the Salina Police Department, and
retired as a Code Enforcement Officer for the city of Salina.
Rodney was also a member of both the VFW and American Legion, and
Christ Cathedral in Salina.
On April 19, 1980, Rodney married Lynn Rexroad in Salina.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Grabner of the home;
daughter, Emily Grabner of Salt Lake City, Utah;
son, Matthew Grabner of Boston, Massachutes; brother, Gary
(Kay) Grabner of Minneapolis, Minnesota; as well as seven
nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, J.D.
Grabner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September
23, 2011 the Christ Cathedral in Salina. Interment will take
place at Gypsum Hill Cemetery following the funeral.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 22 from 11 am - 8 pm at
Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. The family will receive friends
from 6 pm - 8 pm.
