Verna Ida Mae Freeman was born July 31, 1914 in Toronto, Canada,
the daughter of Percival and Ann David. She died July 9, 2011
at the Salina Presbyterian Manor.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and a
brother.
She was married to Wilbert L. Freeman June 23, 1938, and they
went to the New York World's Fair for their honeymoon. They
lived in Wisconsin for 42 years and moved to Salina in
1980.
Verna belonged to the First Presbyterian Church in Salina, was a
member of PEO, Salina Antique Club, and the Presbyterian
Mariners. She and Wilbert recently moved to the Presbyterian
Manor.
Verna is survived by husband, Wilbert of Salina; daughter, Bette
(Don) Timmel of Salina; granddaughter, Jennifer (Brad) Buchanan of
Fort Collins, Colorado; and great grandchildren, Lauren,
Jacob, and Zachary Buchanan, all of Fort Collins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July
13, 2011 in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church.
