Glenda Jean 'Gig' Vandermotten, 71, of Salina, passed away Monday, December 30th, at Hospice of Salina. Gig was born in Hillsboro, Texas on October 12, 1942, to the late Eugenia (Duncan) and Lonnie McConathy. Gig is survived by her best friend, Van Vandermotten; stepdaughter, Linda Kay (Ed) Hall, of Fulton, Missouri; daughters, Janelle, (Richard) Heiser, of Bennington, Kansas, and Connie, (Chris) Johnson, of Salina, Kansas; sister, Karen Wilcox, of Pratt, Kansas; as well as 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Wilma Ebo; and two grandchildren. Cremation has been chosen. At Gig's request, no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Salina, 730 Holly Lane, Salina, Kansas 67401.
