Norbert John Schneweis Norbert John Schneweis, 74, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Salina Regional Health Center. Norbert was born in Salina on December 1, 1937, to the late Rose (Moeder) and Alois Vincent Schneweis. He work for the Lee Hardware Company for 32 years and was a custodian for USD 305. Norbert was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, as well as the United Commercial Travelers. He spent many hours helping others with handyman work and yard work. On October 22, 1966, Norbert married Donna Kay Clark at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kingman, Kansas. Survivors include wife Donna of the home; daughter, Tracy Repp and husband Rande, of Bridgeport, Kansas; son, Scott Schneweis, of Salina; brothers, Rudy Schneweis and wife Hattie, of Calhoun, Georgia, Herman Schneweis and wife Eddie, of Dennis, Mississippi, and Frank Schneweis and wife Florena, of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Katie O'Connor, of Concordia, Kansas, and Eunice Pennington-Bodine and husband Mike, of Wichita, Kansas; as well as 5 grandchildren; Susan Repp, Amanda Repp, Christopher Shields and wife Madison, Sarah Repp, and Madison Repp; and 3 great grandchildren; Dezmond, Anthony, and Aidin; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers, Clem, Adolph, Herbert, Bernard, and Gilbert; and sisters, Dorothy Schneweis, Irene Bondy, Mary Schneweis, and Cecila 'Cec' Hemmerlein.. Cremation has been chosen and there will not be any visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, with Fr. Allen Scheer officiating. Inurnment will follow the mass at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Salina.
