Amelia "Amy" Thomas
February 11, 1943 — July 30, 2023
Amelia “Amy” (Winn) Thomas, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday morning, July 30, 2023. She is absent from her earthly body and now is present with the Lord. We give God all the thanks and praises, for He is worthy to be praised.
She leaves under the wings of our Heavenly Father, her husband of 60 years, Ruben Thomas Sr.; children, Ruben Thomas Jr. of Clive, Iowa, Angie Thomas of Wichita, Kansas, Stevon Thomas of La Mirada, California; bonus child, Nichole Winn of Wichita, Kansas; siblings, Virgie Irving of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Imogene Edwards of Wichita, Kansas, and David Winn of Muskogee, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jasmine Thomas, Taishawn King, Erica Nadler and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers and sisters; Lee Lyons, Pearlye B. Hayes, Wynola Winn, Samuel Winn, Louis W. Winn.
A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 am at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
