Salina, KS Anita Corinne Cox Anita Corinne Cox, 79, of Salina, passed away Saturday, July 13th, at Holiday Resort. She was retired, having worked as an artist, ceramist, Christian bookstore owner, and a financial planner and insurance agent. Anita was born in Rural Lincoln County, Colorado on September 4, 1933, to the late Pearl (Strand) and H. Clifford Thompson. She was a graduate of Limon High School, as well as the Barnes Business School. On June 5, 1953, she married The Reverend Robert I. Cox. Together they ministered to Lutheran congregations throughout the midwest. Anita enjoyed every opportunity to share her faith. They settled in Salina in 1988, to be closer to their family. Survivors include two sons Bryan R., husband of Jana Cox, of Salina, Kansas; Eugene R. , husband of Melita Cox, of Mahboula, Kuwait; as well as survived by 8 grandchildren: Damen Eugene Cox, Joshua Roy Cox and his wife (Kelli), Benjamin Robert Cox and his wife (Erin), Bryan Jansen Cox and his finace Tammi, Mason Taylor Cox, Kassandra Corrine Cox , Tanner James Cox, and Matthew B. Cox, 15 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; daughter, Laura Lee; and her sister, Donna Dotter. A memorial service will be held at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 743 E. Magnolia, Salina, Kansas 67401.
