Barbara Mick

Barbara Mick, 99, of Salina, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010. Barbara Katherine Mick was born in Woods Field, Ohio on November 2, 1911, the daughter of the late William and Matilda (Hine) Miller. On November 25, 1936, Barbara married Bernard (B.J.) Mick at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, KS She was a loving mother and grandmother and gave over 30 years of loyal and dedicated service to St. Mary's Grade School Cafeteria. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband B.J. Mick in 1989 and her son John Mick in 2010. Survivors include 2 daughters: Joyce (Norman) Humes of Manhattan, KS, and Nancy (Martin) Opat of Salina, KS, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Holiday Resort for the loving care given over the past 11 years. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 30, from 5 pm - 7 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home with the Rosary Service at 7:00 pm A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 1st, with Fr. Allen Scheer officiating. Inrunment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
