Barry Nelson Smock Barry Nelson Smock, 58, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012. Barry was born in Salina, on January 23, 1954, to the late Dorothy (Nelson) and 'Bud' Smock. Barry was the husband of Cheri (Just) Smock. Barry was a hard working man and loved by all who he came in contact with. Barry was especially proud of his family and home, which was evident by the many gatherings held there. The home was completely restored by him and Cheri. Barry held several maintenance positions, the latest through McCullough Development. He is survived by his wife, Cheri; daughters, Alison (Sam) Jackson, of Bennington, Kansas; Marisa (Brent) Sadler, of Salina; sons, Matthew (Krissi) Hansen, of Australia and Justin Hansen, of Lindsborg, Kansas; son and daughter from a previous marriage, Kevin Smock and Krista (Brian) Williams, Topeka; sisters, Rita Smock, of Salina and Sue (Bill) Basgall, of Salina; as well as 8 grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends. Barry is preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has been selected and memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Freemont Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. A luncheon will follow the services. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
