Betty E. Robey, 87, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 15th, at Holiday Resort. Betty was born in Salina, Kansas on May 24, 1928, a daughter of the late Ruth (Porter) and George Greenwood. She worked as the head cashier at Dillon's on East Iron for many years. Betty was a member of the Twirlers square-dance group in Salina, Southwestern Bell Pioneers Camping Club, and was a Project leader in 4-H when her children were growing up. She was also one of the original members of the 1st Bank Kansas Travel Committee, and an active member of the Starlighters Neighbors Club. On May 24, 1944, Betty married Clyde Robey in Salina at Sunset Park. He preceded her in death July 27, 1999. Survivors include daughter, Terry Mead and husband Everett, of Salina, Kansas; grandchildren, Chris Carney and wife Kyla of Adele, Iowa, Betsy Carney of Salina, Kansas, Sean Mead and wife Gloria of Manasses, Virginia, and Lisa Lamer of Salina, Kansas. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde; son, Tracy Robey; grandson, Kelly Mead; and 3 sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17 from 1:00 pm-8:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, with Pastor Andy Houltberg officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Cemetery, Beverly, Kansas.
