Betty Jean Bowden, 96, of Gypsum, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Betty was born in Gypsum, Kansas on January 10, 1929, a daughter of Florene (King) and Howard Schultz.
On April 14, 1951, Betty married John "Bud" Bowden in Wichita, Kansas.
Survivors include her two daughters, Melisa Frost, of Wichita, Kansas, Melanie King, of Denver, Colorado; two sons, John Bowden (Nancy), of Salina, Kansas, Mark Bowden (Kim), of Montrose, Colorado.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Adam Brunin (Tara), James Bowden, Christina Dains (LeLan), Carl Bowden, Shawn Frost (Jordan), Garret Bowden (Jenna), Hanna Bowden (Laurel Kasel), Chesney King; 6 great grandchildren, Seth Brunin, Ryan Brunin, Wyatt Frost, Peyton Frost, Adella Dains, and Jack Dains.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John "Bud" Bowden; sons-in-law, Manzy King, and Mike Frost.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 27th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 28th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gypsum City Cemetery, Gypsum, Kansas.
The family requests donations to Southeast of Saline Education Fund or St. Patrick Catholic Church, Gypsum, Kansas in care of the funeral home.
