Betty Manuel

Betty Jean Manuel, 92, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 27th. Betty was born in Ellis, Kansas on October 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Mary (Himmelwright) and Walter Johnson. She worked in the kitchen at Brookville Elementary school, and was a resident of Brookville for many years. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Bell (Orman), of Hill City, Kansas, and Virginia Smith (Bill), of Salina, Kansas; brother, Don Johnson, and sister, Mary Jane Wilson both of Salina, Kansas; and Daughter-in-law, Vicki Manuel, of Hillsboro, Kansas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Manuel; son, Bill Manuel; and three great grandchildren. No services are planned as cremation was chosen. Memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas 67401.
