Beverly Doris 'Bev' Bruhl, 80, of Salina, KS, passed away Monday, December 30th, at Windsor Estates Nursing Home. Bev was born in Peoria, Illinois on July 29, 1933, to the late Velma (Calhoon) and Raymond Orin Gnuschke. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross. Bev was the widow of James W. Mattison and Donald Bruhl. Bev loved her Pepsi. Have a cool one and remember her. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Johnny) Reyes, of Salina, Cheryl (Herb) Horstman, of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Teresa (Abel) Perez, of Salina; son, Richard (Millie) Mattison, of Stafford, Virginia; sister, Janet (Bob) Biven, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brothers, John (Susan) Gnuschke, of Memphis, Tennessee, and David (Debbie) Gnuschke, of Three Rivers Texas; as well as, 11grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James W. Mattison and Donald Bruhl; daughter, Sandra Arthur; brother, Richard Gnuschke; and sister, Nancy Bloemke. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday January 2, 2013 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 6-8. A funeral service will be held at Church of the Cross United Methodist Church, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3rd, with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of the Cross, 1600 Rush, Salina, Kansas 67401.
