Byron A. Mattison

Byron A. Mattison Byron Mattison, 85, passed away, Sunday, March 2, 2014. He was born March 5, 1928. He was a navy veteran of World War II. Byron worked 10 years for the Salina Fire Department. Later he worked for KDOT, and retired form there June 30, 1990. Survivors include his wife Helen; son, Stephen (Lindsay) Mattison, of Highlandville, Missouri; daughters, Sondra (David) Douglas, of Glasco, Kansas, Carol Davis, of Salina, Patty Lipe, of Salina, Vivian (Lee) Snell, of Halstead, Kansas, Vickie (Rod) Haley, of Delphos, Kansas; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, at Gypsum Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Sweet Home Heathcare.
