Carroll Ginther, 91, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, October 25th, at Salina Regional Health Center, Kansas. Carroll was born in Achilles, Kansas on April 12, 1926, a son of the late Margaret Pearl (Mikesell) and Glenn F. Ginther. Carroll served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He was an avid golfer, was a catcher for a Minor League Baseball team, he had his pilot’s license and owned his own plane. Carroll retired as manager at Northwest Kansas Rural Electric Cooperative in Bird City, Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lola (Jackson) Ginther of the home; three sons, Garth Ginther, of Arizona, Gordon Ginther, of Arizona, Jim Ginther, of Colorado; daughter Pam Greigo and husband Ignacio of Colorado. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded by his brother, Garth Ginther; sister, Delpha Cotney; step-mother, Josie Ginther At the family's request there will be no visitation as cremation has been chosen. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery, Atwood, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Atwood Junior Golf Program in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
