Charles Earl Rucker, 68, of Salina, passed away Saturday, June 16th, at his home. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 14, 1943, to the late Inez C. (Harrison) and Charles B. Rucker. Charlie was a high school graduate and attended some college. He was a past member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was also a member of the Junior Old Timers of the Union Pacific Railroad; the National Rifle Association; the United Transportation Union, and the National Hot Rod Association . He attended Cornerstone Community Church in Salina. Charlie was the husband of Carol Ann (Postlethwaite) Rucker. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Jayme and her husband Lee Shank, of Salina; sister Cheryl Leshaw, of California; as well as grandchildren; Melissa, Jacob, Tayler, Bradley, and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Scott Rucker. A funeral service will be held at at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20th, with Pastor David Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 9 am - 6 pm Tuesday, June 19th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home. Memorial contributions May be made to the Saline County Dialysis of Salina, 700 E. Iron, Salina, Kansas 67401.
