Dale Micheal Book

Dale Micheal Book, 64, of Salina, KS, passed away Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017. He was born in Phillipsburg, Kansas on August 21, 1953, a son of the late Geneva (VanLoenen) and Gailard Book. He was employed by USD 305, the city county building and the Sherriff’s office. Dale loved watching the Kansas City Royals, and thoroughly enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends. He was also an avid bike rider for the MS bike tour. He was the husband of Connie (Krug) Book they were married on July 1st, 1978 in Logan, Kansas together they enjoyed 39 years. Dale is survived by his wife Connie of the home, brothers; Gerrit (Nita) Book of Chandler, Arizona and Larry (Sharlene) Book, sisters; Shirley (Mack) McClendon of Topeka, Kansas, Nancy (Kelly) Cook of Hays, Kansas, daughter; Julie (Thomas) Horton, of Salina, Kansas, son; Andrew (Emily) Book, of Olathe, Kansas; Granddaughters; Zola Horton of Salina, Kansas and Ellen Book of Olathe, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Elaine Book. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. The family asks that you remember Dale's ready smile and kind heart. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be given to Tammy Walker Cancer Center, 511 S. Santa Fe, Salina, Kansas 67401.
