Darrell "Papa D" R. Hish

Darrell Richard 'Papa D' Hish, 66, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. Darrell was born in Beardstown, Illinois on September 9, 1951, a son of Nancy Rose (Cox) and Milton F. Hish, of Virginia, Illinois On August 3, 1972 in Virginia, Illinois, Darrell married Debbie Ervin and she survives. Survivors include his parents; wife, Debbie of the home; two daughters, Buffy Eaton and husband Randy, of Salina, Kansas, Brooke Shanks and husband Jesse, of Salina, Kansas; brother, Dennis Hish and wife Carolyn, of DeWitt, Illinois. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Morgan Eaton, Austin Eaton, Evan Shanks, and Kylie Shanks. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26th, 2017 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas. A second Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church, Virginia, Illinois. Darrell was a big supporter of the local Alzheimer's poker run in Salina. The family requests donations to Residence 600 (Alzheimer's Wing), in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S.
