Don Reinsch Don Reinsch, 78, of Clay Center, Kansas, longtime resident of Salina, passed away Friday, August 23rd, 2019. Don was born in Sioux City, Iowa on January 29, 1941, a son of the late Lenore May (Palmerton) and Francis Alan Reinsch. He began working for IH Trucks when he turned 18. He was the youngest service manager the company had ever had. Don went onto work in the district office and the regional office. He rose within the company very quickly. In 1973, he went into the dealership with Bob Stewart as Vice President of Stewart International Trucks, Salina, Kansas. Don was also a founding member of Central City Street Rodders. His passion was working and restoring old cars. On Feb. 17, 1962, Don married Carol Ann Severson in Larchwood, Iowa. Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home; daughter, Traci McDonald (Sean), of Clay Center, Kansas; three sons, Bob Reinsch, (Lisa), of Lawrence, Kansas, Tom Reinsch, of Clay Center, Kansas; Dan Reinsch, of Salina, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, Taylor Reinsch, Morgan Reinsch, Bonnie Reinsch, Gracie Reinsch, Dane Reinsch, Logan McDonald, Keegan McDonald, Raegann McDonald. He is preceded in death by brother, David Reinsch. Cremation has been chosen. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 31st at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas. Donations in Don's name may be made to Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
