Doris E. Liles

Doris E. Liles, 92, of Mt. Hope, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 9th. She was born in Northbranch, Kansas on May 27, 1925, a daughter of the late Alta (Danielson) and Frank Calahan. Doris was a Nurse’s Aide at Salina Regional Health Center for many years, and she also worked as a teller at Solomon State Bank. On May 24, 1943, Doris married Forrest E. Liles in Mankato, Kansas. Survivors include a two sons, Dallas J. Liles and companion Joyce Smith of Salina, and Kelly D. Liles and wife Karen, of Colwich, Kansas; daughter, Crystal Geering, of Salina. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Liles Sr.; daughter, Darla D. Luthi; brother, Gerald Calahan; and son, Forrest Liles, Jr. Visitation will be from 8:30 -10:00 am, Monday, May 14 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenville Cemetery, Niles, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Hope Nursing Center sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
