Dorothy Athaline Kempton Dorothy Athaline Kempton, 78, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 14th, 2013. Dorothy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 11, 1935, daughter of the late Jessie Athaline (Pickard) Yawn and Carl Nelson Cooney. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church Salina, Kansas. Survivors include husband Earl Kempton of the home, daughter, Pamela Bremenkamp, and husband, Anthony 'Tony', of Brewster, Kansas; son, Bryan Kempton, and wife Karen, of Salina, Kansas; 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by brothers, Edward Nelson Cooney, Carl Melvin Cooney, David Lawrence Cooney, Virlen Cooney. At the family's request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, May 20, 2013 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina. Memorial contributions may be made to First Southern Baptist Church Building Fund or Christian Broadcasting Network.
