Dorothy I. Arnold, 85, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, September 16th, 2018. Dorothy was born in Hymer, Kansas on July 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Leona (Varelmann) Ramsey and David Henry Ramsey, Sr. She worked as a custodian at USD 487, Herington; Burdick Meat Packers, Burdick, Kansas; and as a custodian at Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina. She was a member of University United Methodist Church Salina, Kansas 67401. On Nov. 22, 1991, Dorothy married Homer Edward Arnold at University United Methodist Church, Salina, Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Homer Arnold of the home; daughter, Kim Haas, (Mark), of Salina, Kansas; five sons, Sam Corey (Ginger), of Lindsborg, Kansas, Gene Corey (Beth), of Salina, Kansas, Ed Arnold, (Missy), of New Cambria, Kansas, Ty Arnold, (Shelly), of Bennington, Kansas, and Guy Arnold, of Watertown, South Dakota. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; and special friend, Jane Balthazor She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Laura J. Baker, Martha Stevenson; and brother, David Ramsey, Jr. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19th from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home with family present from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 20th at University United Methodist Church, Salina, Kansas, with Pastor Geniese Stanford officiating. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to University United Methodist Church 1509 S. Santa Fe Salina, Kansas or Tammy Walker Cancer, 511 S. Santa Fe, Salina, Kansas.
