Dorothy Louise Shottenkirk, 88, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, March 4th, at Salina Regional Health Center. Dorothy was born in Garfield, Kansas on August 15, 1926, a daughter of the late Edna Louise (McDowell) and Harry Grandy. She was the wife of Lowell E. Shottenkirk, having celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2014. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nada Sue Johnston and husband, Ronald of Portland, Oregon and Dena Shottenkirk, of Brooklyn, New York; a son, Adrian Shottenkirk and wife, Becky of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren, David Sandine of Troutdale, Oregon, Brian Shottenkirk of Arlington, Virginia, Grant Shottenkirk of Townsville, Australia, Merida Lang, Dodge Coates and Arliss Coates, all of Brooklyn, New York. Beyond the love of her children and grandchildren, she certainly enjoyed her bridge clubs in the Salina area, along with golf as a member of the Kansas Women’s Golf Association. Friends are invited to call Monday, March 9, from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home with family present from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Salina, at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 10th, with Rev. David Watson officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Garfield Cemetery in Garfield, Kansas at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church 122 N. 8th Salina, Kansas 67401.
