Edward "Ed" Pates

Edward E. “Ed” Pates Edward E. “Ed” Pates, 68, of Hedville, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 18th, at his home. Ed was born in Wichita, Kansas, on December 31, 1947, to the late Betty (Lansdowne) and Leo H. Pates. Ed was the husband of Leigh Anne (Falwell) Pates. He worked as an over the road truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Leigh Anne, of the home; sons, Roger Pates, of Nolanville, Texas, Darel Pates, of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter, Valerie Pates, of St. Charles, Illinois; brother, Gerald (Jerry) and wife, Patty Pates, of Wichita, Kansas; and sister, Mary Welden, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ed is preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has been chosen and there will not be visitation. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Watson Room of the Steifel Theatre, 151 S Santa Fe Ave, Salina, KS 67401.
