Elda Pauline Adams Elda Pauline Adams, died February 28, 2011, at the Salina Regional Heath Center in Salina, Kansas. She was born October 17, 1915, near Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Uriah R. and Lulu (Avers) Zeller. She was married to George N. Adams on October 25, 1935 near Manhattan. They celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary last October. Elda attended Keats Rural High School, Keats, Kansas and the Dickinson School of Business, Topeka, Kansas and was an accountant and sales person. She conducted Salina Greeters for seventeen years, welcoming new residents to the Salina Community as a representative of business and churches. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and an Elder, a member of Presbyterian Women and Presbyterian Mariners. In addition, she was a member of General Federation of Women's Clubs, GFWC of Salina and GFWC Sacred Literature Club #1 and enjoyed leadership roles in each. Elda is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Maynard E., Kenneth E., Uriah R. Jr., and infant twin brother, Eldon Eugene and sisters: Dorothy E. Wright and Grace I. Goff. Survivors include her husband, George of the home; daughter: Kay Winter and husband William C. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son: Richard G. Adams and wife Carolyn of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren: David S. Adams and wife Jill of Topeka, KS, Mark A. Adams and wife Casey Cooper of Overland Park, Kansas, Nancy E. (Winter) Monsen and husband Kristan J. of Los Altos, California and Frederick Winter of Denver, Colorado. She has six great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3 at First Presbyterian Church, Salina, Kansas, with Rev. James Hawley officiating. Friends are invited to call Wednesday, March 2 from 9 am - 5 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 3 at Delphos Cemetery, east of Delphos, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
