Emma Jane Littlejohn

Emma Jane Littlejohn, 96, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, January 29th, 2019. Emma was born in Abilene, Kansas on November 5, 1922, a daughter of the late Ruth (Haddock) and Leon M. Ramsey. She worked as a Nursing Instructor at Osawatomie State Hospital, University of Arkansas, Fort Hays State University. She also served as a Hospital Apprentice First Class for the United States Navy from June 1943 – December 1945. Survivors include her sister, Rose Marie White, of Midland, Texas; daughter, Janice Littlejohn-Burch, (Vince), of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Littlejohn; brothers, Leon Ramsey, John Ramsey; son, Jim Littlejohn. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Prairie Dale Cemetery, Talmage, Kansas with Pastor Jon Fillipi officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 62, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
