Frederick S. Simons

Frederick Stephen Simons, the oldest child of Alta M. and John F. Simons, joined the living September 24, 1953, and he left us March 21, 2012. He attended school at Leonardville, Kansas, Morrowville, Kansas, and Plattsmouth, Nebraska. He graduated from Wahington High School and Doone College in Lincoln, Nebraska. On August 14, 1975 he married Linda Harms. To this union, four children were born, William, Jason, Brian, who died shortly after his birth, and Jennifer. Fred's poor health kept him from achieving great things in life, but he enjoyed the little things, like driving a semi-truck over the highway and long walks, when he was able. He will be missed by his brothers, Glenn and Happy, and his sisters Dale Ann Bjork, Rose Applegarth, Kathy Simons, and Joni Meier. They are saddened that there are no more stories for him to tell them. At the family's request there will be no visitation as cremation was chosen.
