George Edmond 'Bud' Goetz George Edmond 'Bud' Goetz, 85, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, November 12th, at Salina Regional Health Center. Bud was born in Park, Kansas on January 30, 1928, to the late Helen N. (Gallagher) Brungardt and Edmond Cecile Goetz. He worked as an auto mechanic, and retired from Marshall Motors. George then worked at St. Francis Boys Home for 6 years. Bud was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral. On January 13, 1951, he married Renilda 'Nellie' Lang, in Collyer, Kansas. Survivors include his wife Nellie; son, Ronald Goetz, of Salina; daughter, Bonnie Bays, of Wellington, Colorado; brothers, Virgil 'Jim' Goetz, of WaKeeney, Kansas, Charles 'Mike' Goetz, of Grinnell, Kansas, Bill Goetz, of Oakley, Kansas, and Gary Goetz, of WaKeeney, Kanasas; sisters, Delores Deines, of WaKeeney, Kansas, Elsie Bittel, of WaKeeney, Kansas, and Patsy Radcliffe, of Kenton, Ohio; as well as four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sisters, Helen Maxine Leiker, and Marlene Fahey. Cremation has been chosen and at the family's request there will be no visitation. A Rosary service will be held at 9:30 am, Monday, November 18, 2013 at Sacred Heart Cathedral and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral, 118 N. 9th, Salina, Kansas 67401.
