Gerald Joseph Karber, 91, of Gypsum, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at his home.
He was born on August 27, 1934 to Henry and Mary (Schauff) Karber. Gerald was one of four children. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Gypsum, Kansas.
On April 20, 1963 Gerald married Marie Milieson. During his 63 years of marriage, some of his proudest accomplishments were moving back to the family homestead to farm, starting his family run dairy farm, Stag-Creek Registered Holsteins, but what he was most proud of was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Karber of the home; children, Paul Karber, Karen (Mike) Wilson, Lewis Karber, Robert (Jody) Karber; sister, Mary Jo Meyer; brother, James (Donna) Karber; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his gentle and loving devotion to his family, and for always having a fresh batch of cookies ready whenever his grandchildren came to visit.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
