Gretta Schaeffer Lytle

Gretta Schaeffer Lytle, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born on April 10th, 1938 in Salina, Kansas to Doretha Mae (Johnson) and Paul E. Schaeffer.
She graduated from Salina High School in 1956 her career included working as a secretary for the chemical dependency treatment center at Salina Regional Health Center, Penn campus formally St. John’s Hospital; was an Executive secretary for Veneer, Inc.; and the office manager for the Kansas area assembly of Alcoholics Anonymous Inc., all in Salina, Kansas.
She retired and moved to Abilene in 1998. She was a member of the American Association of retired persons and a graduate of the Saline County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Struble; grandchildren, Heather Struble, and Kevin Struble, all of Abilene, Kansas.
Gretta was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Tulsa Green, and two brothers, Philip and Donald Schaeffer.
Gretta’s wishes were to be cremated. She will be laid to rest at a later date.
