Helen "Danny" Margaret Maupin

Salina, Kansas Helen 'Danny' Margaret Maupin Helen 'Danny' Margaret Maupin, 91, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 18th, at Salina Regional Health Center, Kansas. Helen was born in Vesper, Kansas on October 23, 1922, eldest daughter of the late Nellie E. (Zachgo) and Marinus T. Damker. Danny graduated from St. John's School of Nursing in 1945. She spent her entire nursing career in Salina, 36 years of which was with Dr. Chester Scott. On Oct. 18, 1947, Helen married James Maupin Jr., and he precedes her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Cook (Scott), of Bonner Springs, Kansas; Mary Maupin, of Reno, Nevada; Brother, Leslie Damker, of Salina, Kansas; 2 grandchildren, Angela Stowell (Ed), Michael Maupin; 3 great grandchildren, Michaela, Jake, Joey; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by brother, Dale Damker; and sister, Donna Gooden Family will greet friends Monday from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at University United Methodist Church, Salina, Kansas. Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 am, Monday, January 20th, at the church. Inurnment Smoky Valley Cemetery Lindsborg, will be held at a later date.
