Helen Jo Kuiper
October 2, 1930 — January 4, 2025
Helen Jo "Jody" Kuiper, 94, of Abilene, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 4th, at the Memorial Hospital.
Helen was born in Little Field, Texas on October 2, 1930, to Nellie Zora Virgie Thomasson and Charles Edward Gray.
For most of her life she worked at Weber Aircraft in Gainsville, Texas where she worked on aircraft pieces.
In her free time, she loved to be with her cat Vembie or crocheting.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Ladd (Don), LaDean Atwell; brother, Benny Gray; granddaughters, Jodean Hudson (Brian), Jamie Atwell, Hollie Smith (Curtis); grandsons, Sascha Reyes, J Colton Hendrickson, David Bussing (Kristie), and Buddy Ladd.
She is survived by numerous other family members.
Jody is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmy Atwell; and sister, Colleen Barrett.
Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned at this time.
