Helen Mae Pientka, 92, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, February 17th, at Sterling House in Salina. Helen was born in Sand Springs, Kansas on November 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Laura Mae (Gish) and Andrew Jackson Houlton. Helen married Ernest Pientka on February 1, 1945 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Abilene. Survivors include two sons; Joseph Pientka and wife, Jane of Olpe, Kansas, Robert Pientka and wife, Debbie of Lindsborg, Kansas; sister, Jody Lantz and husband, Roy of Salina; six Grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Pientka; two sisters, Arlene Hottman, and Dorothy Carlton; and brother, David Houlton A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, February 19th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home with visitation following until 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be heled at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Salina at 10:00 AM Friday, February 20th with Father Keith Webber officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemtery in Abilene. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton 1000 Burr Oak Ln., Salina, Kansas 67401.
