Hilarius 'Larry' Anton Weber, 93, died Friday, June 26, 2015. He was born on May 29, 1922 in Park, Kansas to Jakob and Rosa (Herrman) Weber. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mary (Boor) Weber, his son, Ronald Weber, his parents, his brothers, Bartholomew, Henry, Msgr John George, Anthony, Celestine, Martin, and Aloysius, and his sisters Philomena Christenson and Odilia Riedel. He is survived by his daughters, Bernita Weber, Jeanette Weber, and Halaria Weber, his daughter-in-law, Judy Weber, his brother Sil (Eshter) Weber, his sisters, Magdalen Gassman and Marie Meier, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Larry grew up in rural Western Kansas and spent his childhood among the wheat fields and cattle of his parent’s farm. He married Mary Boor on December 28, 1943 and farmed in Quinter, Kansas for several years before moving to Salina, Kansas in 1949. Larry and Marry owned and operated a small grocery store on North 9th Street for a number of years. Larry worked for Pepsi-Cola bottling plant as their maintenance foreman for over 25 years. He then moved on to be a construction foreman and traveled a great deal in that position. Larry was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and was very active in many aspects of the Sacred Heart Cathedral parish since his arrival in Salina. Viewing is at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday July 1st from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with the Rosary being said at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1st. Burial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 2nd at Sacred Heart Cathedral to be followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Lunch in the Bishop’s Hall at Sacred Heart Cathedral will follow the burial.
