Irene Fern Ethridge Irene Fern Ethridge, 93, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 16th, 2013. Irene was born in North Loop, Nebraska on February 12, 1920, daughter of the late Mary Ethel (Bond) and Leslie Judson Greene. She was a retired cook at McCall Manor/Windsor Estates in Salina. She had previously worked at various cafes around the Ada, Lincoln and Minneapolis areas. She was an active member of the Ada Baptist Church where she served on various ladies boards and the children's programs at the church. Survivors include son, Larry Ethridge and wife Donna, of Manhattan, Kansas; grandsons, Troy Ethridge and wife Tammy of Salina, Kansas, Michael Montgomery of Salina, Kansas; granddaughters, Michelle Montgomery-Jones and husband Danny of Salina, Kansas, Denise Ensley and husband Dennis of Topeka, Kansas; brother, Loren Greene and wife Doris of Topeka, Kansas; 2 great grandchildren, Chance Montgomery-Jones and Kierstyn Montgomery. She was preceded in death by a son: Robert Leslie and 2 daughters: Donna Jean Ethridge and Mary Lynne Montgomery; brothers: Wayne Greene, Donald Greene, Ira Greene, and a sister: Gerry Hess.
