James Edgar Haley

James Edgar Haley, 82, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, February 15th, at Salina Regional Health Center. James was born in Salina, Kansas on May 22, 1936, a son of the late Virginia N and Isaac J. Haley. He worked in food service for the Army and Air Force Exchange at various times and places, he retired after 35 years. On Feb. 22, 1957 in Aurora, Colorado, James married Martha Ann (Armstrong) Haley. Survivors include daughter, Tamela Sue Sitbon (Richard), of Palmer, Alaska; son, James E. Haley, Jr. of Utah; brothers, Robert Dale Haley (Beverly), of Salina, Kansas, and Jerry L. Haley (Irma), of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Haley and son, Jerry D. Haley. Visitation will be Sunday, February, 17, from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, with family present from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Burial will be private at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salina First Church of the Nazarene, in care of the funeral home.
