James "Jim" H. Reed

James H. Reed, 76, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Friday, January 29th, 2021, at home. Jim was born in Silsbee, Texas on October 5th, 1944, a son of the late Rosie Ellen (Sparks) and Levi H. Reed. He served in the United States Air Force and worked for UPS for 26 years. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jolene (Gentry) Reed; four sons, Dave Reed (Shana), of Overland Park, KS, Mike Reed (Darcy), of Assaria, Eric Reed, of Salina, Eric Clayton (Leslie), of Salina, daughter-in-law, Julie Griffin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; sister, Bonnie (Charles) Walters, of Silsbee, Texas; and brother-in-law, Terry Gentry, of Merida, Mexico. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Amanda, Bria, Gunar, Sierra, Kipra, Espyn, Amanda, Megan, and Nick. He is preceded in death by a son, James Griffin and sister, Beatrice Reed. Family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 3rd, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 4th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, with Pastor Rene Colaw officiating. Burial will follow at Glasco Cemetery, Glasco, Kansas. There will be a meal at the Glasco Senior Center immediately following the burial. Please RSVP if you plan on attending the meal.
