James R. Hoover Sr.

Salina, Kansas James Robert Hoover, Sr. James Robert 'Jim' Hoover, Sr., 68, of Salina, passed away Friday, January 22nd, at Salina Regional Health Center. Jim was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 20, 1947, to the late Kathleen M. (Hauber) and Robert L. Hoover. Jim was a twenty year veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Allen) Hoover; sons, James R. Hoover, Jr., of Salina, Kansas,Scott A. Hoover, of Salina, Kansas, Shawn A. Hoover and wife Mindy, of Texarkana, Texas, Jonathan P. Hoover, of Salina, Kansas; daughter, Jaime Hoover, of Salina, Kansas; brothers, Richard Hoover, of Ohio, Gary Hoover, of California; sister, Lynn Hoover, of Ohio; and 3 grandsons. Jim is preceded in death by his parents. At the family's request there will be no visitation as cremation has been chosen. No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
