Jerridee "Jerri" Ida Vernon

Jerridee Ida Vernon, 85, passed away Sunday, May 16th, 2021. Jerri was born in Oberlin, Kansas on September 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Armenia "Babe" (Hickman) and Jerome "Shorty" Manning. She was a resident of Salina, Kansas; Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Kanopolis, Kansas since 1969. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary in the medical field until retirement. Jerri married Dennis Vernon on July 3, 1953 and to this union was born 2 daughters, Ryekel and Sue Ann and 1 son, Kirby. Survivors include two daughters, Ryekel "Ric" Gengler, of Topeka, Sue Ann Vernon(Mike Hine), of Salina; a son, Kirby Vernon (Christy), of Wichita. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 3 step- grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Vernon; brothers, Clarence, Kenneth and sister, Patty Brown. Cremation was chosen. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be at Oak Hollow - Webster Conference Center at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 26th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter or Infant Child Development, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S.
