Jerry Francis Mallon

Jerry Francis Mallon, 74, of Salina, passed away following an extended illness, Tuesday, February 10th, at Kenwood View Rehab & Health Care. Jerry was born in Salina, Kansas on October 7, 1940, to the late Doris (Constable) and Francis Marion Mallon. Jerry was a graduate of Salina High School. He worked as a farmer in the Salina area. Jerry was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross, and he and his wife Barbara were members of the local ham radio club. He was the husband of Barbara R. (McKinnis) Mallon. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; sons, Gary D., husband of Pam Mallon, of Salina, and Ronald J., husband of Johnelle Mallon, of Clayton, Missouri; as well as 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Struble; half-brother, Lawrence Mallon; and half-sister, Lela Gallion. There will be a brief chapel services at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13th, with Pastor Michael Eurit, officiating. Interment will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of the Cross, 1600 Rush, Salina, Kansas 67401; or the the charity of the donor's choice.
