John Ellis Noeller, 83, of Smolan, died Friday, December 31st, at the Lindsborg Community Hospital. He was born near Augusta, Kansas on February 24, 1927, the son of the late George and Lela Noeller. He was a crew chief for 39 years with Beech Aircraft in Salina. John was married to Claire 'Joan' Mintener and she precedes him in death. John was a veteran, serving in the US Army, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post #1432, Salina and Veterans of Foreign War Post #6746, Augusta. John's survivors include four sons: Richard (Tandy) Noeller of Severy, Bob (Cathy) Noeller of Denver, Walter (Lorrie) Noeller of Salina, John E. (Cindy) Noeller of Smolan; a sister: Jessie McKay of Lincoln, a brother: James (Ellen) Noeller of Sedgwick; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and ten brothers and sisters,. Friends are invited to callTuesday, January 4 from 9:00am to 8:00pm, with the family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 5th at 10:00am with Rev. Bill Buschbom officiating. Burial will follow at the Smolan Lutheran Cemetery in Smolan.
