John R. Goertzen

John Robert Goertzen, 52, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 17th, 2023.
John was born in Salina, Kansas on July 17, 1970, a son of Elizabeth Sue (Gebhart) Goertzen and Robert Earl Goertzen.
On December 7, 1996, John married Jessica Vernon in Salina.
John served with the Salina Fire Department for 27 years with the last 5 years as Battalion Chief.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica of the home; his mother, Elizabeth Goertzen, of Salina; daughters, Haley Foy (Jacob), of North Carolina, Riley Goertzen (Skyler DeMott), of Salina; son, Cade Goertzen (Maddie), of Salina; and his sister, Teresa Huffman (Stan), of Salina.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23rd from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 29th at Tony's Pizza Event Center in Salina.
