John Robert Kromer, 64, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 29th, at his residence. John was born in Kempton, Ohio on December 27, 1949, to the late Alice (DeVene) and Robert Kromer. John was the husband of Linda (Kleiner) Kromer. They were married August 6, 1977 in Manhattan, Kansas. He worked as a parts buyer, dealing in aviation parts. He was a member of Salina VFW Post# 1432. John loved golf and bowling. He was also very active in the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; sons, Kurtis M. Kromer, of Salina, John Kromer, Jr., of Wichita, Kansas, and Kristopher A. (Tammy) Kromer, of Salina; brothers Harold J. (Karen) Kromer, and Joseph W. (Sheila) Kromer; sisters, Clara Nash, Nora (Mike) Connolly, and Janice (Jerry) Ruppright; as well as 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. John is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul D. Kromer; and sister, Martha Nash. Visitation will be at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 3. Family will greet friends from 6-8. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 644 S.
