Khamvane Sayasing was a loving father who migrated from Laos in the early 1980’s with his wife and children. To provide a better future for his family, the first place he called home in 1980 was Houston, Texas where he worked at 3M Company. To continue his pursuit of the American dream, he moved his family to Sacramento, California in 1985. He was an aspiring produce entrepreneur for 12 years before settling his roots in Kansas. For the past 20 years he was a valued production employee at Schwans Food Company. Where ever he went, he touched many lives. Khamvane was an avid fisherman. When he’s not working or tending his garden, you can find him at his favorite fishing spot Milford Spillway. “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” This is the philosophy he has instilled in his children.
